Making money with network marketing can be hard, but with staying power and diligence anyone can cut a solid profit. The ploy to making money is realizing that there is no ploy. There is no clandestine opportunity for cutting a profit. Fortunately the way to make the most money with network marketing is relatively simplistic and only requires knowledge of supply and demand and a quantity of downline sales representatives.

Build the downline and success will follow. “If you build it, they will come.”

Downline Team Building

Naturally, talking about a downline and building a team around it may seem like a different language to an outsider. To all intents and purposes, a downline is the number of individuals that work below a manager in a multi-level marketing company. Building a solid team around a downline means that the sales reps are eligible and able to turn momentous profit. The better the downline team, the more triumphant the manager is at the top. Quantity counts, but quality trumps all.

Managers spend time hunting around for the most apt reps for the product or service being promoted. Finding the best reps for the product is the first piece to team building, as reps that don’t sell well will basically drag the company’s organization down quickly. A good manager knows that selecting reps will help propagate the success of network marketing, as more reps will select more reps and eventually the process will balloon into a successful chain of command.

Use New Technology

One of the best ways that managers are building teams is through the usage of online technology and social networking websites. A simple social conversation can quickly turn into a high-class recruiting session in the hands of the right manager. Managers call these “downline building systems” in code because of the ability to use social networking software to recruit new sales reps. Once individuals hear that money can be made through selling, ears perk up and a new sales rep opportunity is born out of a simple straightforward conversation.

A downline team building system also can be created to use automation to monitor the process of recruitment and training so that individuals can learn about the venture on their own. Using their own pace, speed, and language, a potential sales rep can use a website or networking location online to learn more about the products and services they’ll be selling. A good multi-level marketing company has a solid website with which to do business. This enables the manager to focus on activities he or she enjoys.

A good downline building system will answer any questions potential prospects may ask and will complete the support process simply. Prospecting is now a breeze, as managers have the ability to refer sales reps to the system’s website with any questions or queries they may have. Gone are the days of sitting by the phone waiting for answers. Downline building systems use website interfaces to provide instant answers and will help immensely in the process of downline team building.

I just upgraded this blog. I thought I was going to have a cow!

I absolutely LOVE WordPress, but, I was freaked about having to upgrade the version. I read the instructions (3 Simple Steps, or something like that), then read the extended instructions and pretty much said OK, I am going to screw this up and lose all my content and plugins and basically all of the work I have done on this damn thing over the past few months. RATS!

Oh well, I figured I have to see if I can do it at some point anyway so why not now.

Yes, I am a complete idiot because this was about as easy as it gets. As long as I took my time, didn’t try and rush right though it and shut off the D-Backs game (they were getting their hats handed to them anyway) this upgrade was no big deal at all.

Once I finished with the upgrade I decided to play around with the widgets and plugins for awhile and that was no big whoop either.

I’m definitely going to have to start doing alot more with this blog now that I see how truely simple this whole thing is.

Well that’s about it for now.

Affiliate marketing opportunities are all around you, just waiting to be profited from. But if you are a relative newcomer to the industry, you may not know where to find them. Fortunately, there are easy and simple ways to not only find thousands of great products to promote, but also discover which ones are the hot sellers that you want to get behind. Here are three strategies you can use today to find the best affiliate marketing opportunities that can put money in your pocket.

Strategy #1: Go To One Of The Big Affiliate Marketing Directories

There are web sites out there that are completely dedicated to being directories of affiliate marketing opportunities. You can browse through them as you would a phone book and explore the various and assorted products available niche by niche. Most also allow you to search for niche-specific keywords for your convenience. Some directories are also payment processors for the products listed within, which puts them in a unique position of being able to give you information about the products, such as which ones are top sellers and how well their sales pages convert.

Strategy #2: Search Existing Product Pages

Many sales pages also include a link to the affiliate program for the product that is being sold. Clicking that link will let you sign up as an affiliate and begin promoting the product immediately. However, the link may not be easy to find — in order to prevent potential customers from signing up as affiliates and pocketing their own commission, these links are often at the bottom of the sales page in very small print. If you can’t find these links on the sales pages of products you want to promote, another option is to do a web search for the word “affiliate” along with the name of the products to find any separate pages that let you sign up for those particular affiliate marketing opportunities.

Strategy #3: Search For Specific Niche Keywords

One last strategy is to put your favorite search engine to the test and finding what hidden affiliate marketing opportunities it turns up. By searching for very specific keywords in the niche that you are interested in along with the words “affiliate” and “signup,” you can unearth a wealth of affiliate links to products you never even knew existed. If you do a search like this and find that your search results are returning a lot of non-relevant links, you can add a plus sign to the beginning of words to return only the results that have all of those words. An example of a search like that would be something like this: weight loss+affiliate+signup. Only pages that contained all of those words would be returned to you.

Finding the affiliate marketing opportunities that will make you the most money isn’t difficult – if you know where to look. Use these three simple tips to find the products you want to promote, and start making more money now!

What is a Safelist?

Basically a safelist is a gathering of like minded individuals who have
agreed to exchanges ads. You agree to receive ads from all the other
members in exchange for the opportunity to send your own. This concept
has many advantages, here’s a couple of them.

The advantages of safelist marketing

For one it’s spam free as people have to double opt-in to the safelist and
thereby agreeing to receive your ads, should some nutter decide that the
safelist mail is spam anyway it’s not really your problem as the mail is not
sent from your email address or server. Actually this is the origin of the
name, a safelist is a closed community where it is safe for members to
exchange ads.

The second advantage is quite obvious but many people fail to see this,
what do all safelist members have in common? They have something to
sell, but they have not advanced far enough in their internet marketing
carreer to dismiss a very mundane task as posting to a safelist. That
means that if you have a product, report, ebook, income opportunity etc.
that can help people on the way to internet glory, the average safelist
user is an excellent prospect for you.

Why I will always use safelists

I could probably make do without safelists but I sure won’t. Safelist are a
starting point for many newbie marketers and picking those up as
subscribers and customers can be very profitable, i.e. they do not own
every product out there and they do not know everything, meaning that
you have plenty of stuff to sell them. You can see this as opposed to
getting *Mike Filsaime* on your list, when your initial giggling wears off
you will probably realize that Mike owns everything you promote and if he
doesn’t he will probably create his own version anyway…

Mike Filsaime and safelists

Speaking of *Mike Filsaime* did you know he started his internet
marketing career using safelists? I have listened to several conference
calls where Mike explains how he built a list of *7000* members using
nothing but safelists and that list netted him $7000 a month. In fact Mike
and his “intern” Jason Dinner are still regular safelist users although I
believe they pay people to do the dirty work nowadays…

…imagine that, paying people to do your safelist posting, I’m pretty sure
Jason and Mike don’t find safelists useless!

————————————————–

There is a lot of information about how to build a good home business website. There are a lot of tips and tricks on how to build a website without needing a programmer or hiring a professional. All of these technical tips and little pieces of advice often overlook the big picture and end up making the home business owner micromanage the small details. While this is nice and will actually be good for the business it is not the only advice a person needs to hear in order to build a good home business website.

There are three key points to building a good home business website. These three points can easily be lost in the technical aspect of building a website. They are very important, though, to the user. When building a website keeping the user in mind is essential, especially when building a home business website where the user is THE key to success.

Point #1 — Make it easy to use.

A website should be easy to use. A visitor should be able to navigate the site without any hassles. This means they do not need to be bombarded with pop up ads or have to search for anything. Everything needs to be right there for them and they should be able to easily see how shopping and the check out process works.

Point #2 — It should be informative.

Online users are now used to websites that are informative and actually offer them something. Most people will simply leave a website if they can not get information from it. People are spoiled, but that doesn’t matter. A website needs a section with a blog or articles that allow the user to get useful information.

Point #3 — It should be clear and simple.

This goes along with being easy to use. A website should not be cluttered or difficult to figure out. People are not going to work to get to anything on a website. If they can not figure it out then they will leave. Menus should be clear and every aspect of the shopping experience should be clear.

In order to ensure a website meets these three points a business owner should try it out before going live. They should go through the website and make sure it is not confusing or that there is too much on any one page. It is also a good idea to put up a survey that allows visitors to shoot you their opinions of what they do and do not like about the site.

Making sure these three points are covered will help tremendously to make a website a success. It can be a big boost for a home business, as well. People want a good experience and a good experience includes a website that is easy to use, informative and clear. This is all something that can be worked into the final steps of building a website. Once the technical things are handled the focus can shift to making it user friendly and making it a website that people are going to want to visit and come back to.

When it comes to working at home one of the most important things you will need is internet access. The majority of work at home jobs are going to require internet access to do the work, stay in contact with employers and even find a work at home job in the first place. Having a good internet connection is of the utmost importance if a person wants to be successful in working at home.

There are a few different options in internet access. The difference between them is basically in speed and reliability. The differences can be major when it comes to being able to work a home-based business. It is very important that you understand the basics of each type.

The general types of internet access are dial up, DSL and cable.

Dial up internet is the slowest speed of internet and the least reliable. Dial up internet will occupy the telephone line, so if a job requires a person to be online and on the phone at the same time then the person will need two phone lines. Additionally, downloading with a dial up internet connection can be quite time consuming. Most work at home employers require more then a dial up internet connection due its limitations. Dial up used to be the most affordable, but there are many companies that offer great deals for high speed connections.

DSL internet connection is a high speed option. It also runs through the phone lines, but allows a person to be on the phone at the same they are on the internet. It also runs fairly quickly and downloading is faster then with dial up. DSL also reports rather good reliability with minimal down time or problems. Most work at home employers approve of a DSL internet connection. DSL is sold through phone companies and they often offer great bundled deals where you can get a good rate on both phone and internet.

Cable internet is the fastest internet connection type. Cable internet works very quickly. It allows for the fastest downloads, too. Some problems with reliability have been reported with cable internet, though. If a person lives in an area where the cable service experiences interruptions then a cable internet connection is going to be lost also. Work at home employers approve of cable internet connections, though, because they offer good speed. Cable companies have started to offer a wonderful deal where you can get cable, internet and phone service in a cheap bundled package.

Choosing a good internet connection is going to be largely based upon the type of work a person is planning on doing. Certain jobs may be work with a dial up connection, while other jobs need a high speed connection. You should look into the options that are available in your area. It is good to ask around and see what provider is more reliable and who can offer you the best value for your money.

You will have to have internet access if you want your work at home dreams to come true. It is better to be informed then just choose a service. Understanding the service you are choosing is going to allow you to make the best choice and get the best results.

If you can believe the hype propagated on the Internet, large quantities of leads are the lifeblood of the network marketing business. It does not matter if you are involved in multi level marketing or any other kind of network marketing endeavor, the failure to generate leads is most commonly equated with the failure of the business venture while success in generating these leads is considered the surefire way of succeeding in the business of your choice. Even though there is a kernel of truth to this school of thought, it leaves out a most important object lesson and caveat: to differentiate generic marketing leads from qualified network marketing leads.

An unqualified lead is anyone and everyone you meet on the street. Complete strangers whom you hand a business card in passing are unqualified leads. Your family and circle of friends are perhaps the best examples of unqualified leads! They could be leads simply because out of love and respect for you they will permit you to give them your sales presentation, but they are unqualified in that they have not actually expressed an interest in the product you are selling or the company you are representing. Do not misunderstand: there is a chance that any lead, no matter how generic and unqualified, may be turned into a qualified lead, yet this is a time consuming process that relies on the skill, product knowledge and determination of the network marketer.

On the flipside of this coin is the qualified lead. Usually it is a person who has sought out you or your website to get more information about the product you are selling, the service you are providing and also the business you are representing. Similarly, a qualified lead is someone who is familiar with the network marketing industry and wants to become involved but might still be searching for just the right niche to buy into. Such leads are worth their weight in gold! Does this mean that each and every qualified lead will turn into a customer or downline candidate? By no means! As a matter of fact, the individual may decide that your product or business and she or he simply do not represent a good fit. Fledgling marketers may also turn off qualified leads because of incompetence. Yet by and large marketing to a qualified lead is a lot easier than trying to turn a generic lead into a qualified one.

Thus it is a questionable practice for the beginning marketer to purchase leads sights unseen. Nine times out of ten this transaction will cost a fair amount of money and net the marketer generic leads, such as may have been generated with a “make money while you sleep ad” or similar promotions. Conversely, purchasing qualified leads is a lot more expensive yet also an investment well worth making! These leads are usually collected during network marketing seminars when individuals are being introduced to the concept and express interest in learning more about the industry. Yet keep in mind that even if you differentiate generic marketing lead from qualified network marketing lead and not spend even one penny on an unqualified lead, you may still not close the deal! There is no guarantee in network marketing, only a leg up.

Really Get To Know The People In Your Downline

At the end of the day, the result of downline team building is to create a stream of high producers – but that doesn’t mean you should treat everyone as a sales number. When you bring someone on to your team, get to know them. Learn about their families, their day jobs, their goals for the future. Not only will this make them feel more valued (and more likely to stay in your downline), it will also make them more motivated to be a productive member of your team. Research and experience alike prove that happy people are by nature better producers – and since that is the case, you want your team as happy as they can be.

Maintain Frequent Contact With Your Downline Team From The Start

Momentum is your number one asset when it comes to downline team building. The moment people join your team, you have them at their most moldable and motivated state of mind and you don’t want to lose that feeling. You can use tools like email to keep in weekly contact with your team, and post people’s sales stats on a team website for all to see. By keeping a constant sense of camaraderie (and maybe a little bit of competition) among your team, you reinforce the importance of really working the business. If setting up a website or mailing list seems out of your league, take heart – there are plenty of free resources on the internet that will take all of the hard work out of the process. A quick web search will help you find what you need.

Celebrate Personal Milestones With Your Team

Another great thing you can do with your email list and website is to celebrate all the special events that are occurring with your team members. If someone hits a sales record, send out an email to everyone. Post birthdays, anniversaries and other special events to your website so that people feel appreciated and remembered. Have a place on your site where people can congratulate and encourage one another as well, and your downline team building efforts can be strengthened and multiplied. Building a sense of community is important because it opens the door for team members to feel comfortable asking each other for help.

Downline team building is the heart of your business – so be sure to do it well! These simple tips will get you started.

If you have never familiarized yourself with the concept of article network marketing, the odds are good that you are missing out on an amazingly effective network marketing tool! The concept itself is surprisingly simple: much like product placement in movies, article network marketing relies on a general content article containing references to and facts about the product you are selling and the business you are in. Of course, with anything that is deceptively simple there is also a large margin for error.

For those who are intrigued by this completely legal way of reaching a whole new target audience, here are five steps that guarantee article network marketing success.

1. The content must be well written. Most network marketers will outsource this aspect of the business and if you do so, you will be wise to request some samples of the work first. This will enable you to understand the effect an article written by that individual or company will have on you, and by extension most likely will have on other readers. Look for typos and be on alert for grammatical errors or punctuation mistakes.

2. The content of the article needs to relate to your business or product in some way. If you are selling a wellness product you will be hard-pressed to have it included in a movie review (although a highly skilled writer is able to pull off this feat) but it will shine in a general content article that discusses health, wellness, and related issues.

3. If you are using article network marketing to showcase your product, think of the attributes that best describe it. Is it a drink or a solid supplement? What color is it? How does it taste? Should it be consumed cold or hot? Could it be incorporated into a recipe or dish? What are the effects of the product and how long does it usually take until someone will realize them? All of these questions could and should be answered within the article to give the reader a solid understanding and also feel for the product without necessitating them to buy it first.

4. Do not let the article be little more than a bit of writing designed to hype the product. This will not hold any appeal to the average reader. The trick to successful article network marketing is the skillful incorporation of the product into a well written article that is of general interest.

5. Utilize the article by posting it on sites inviting submissions, posting it in forums, and also sending it out as part of an email newsletter. Be very cautious so that you are not actually spamming a site or misuse your email address leads, but at the same time capitalize on the finished article in each and every way you can think of.

The more articles you craft in this vein, the more impact you will have. Vitally important here, is that each and every article offers a new insight and is markedly different from its predecessors!
